A butt weld pipe fitting is designed to be welded on site at its ends to connect pipes together and allow change in direction or pipe diameter, or branching or ending.

Butt weld pipe fittings are most commonly available in carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy, aluminum and high yield material.All stainless steel pipes fittings are manufactured from stainless steel pipe according to ASTM A403 standards. Material 10 gauge and lighter will have No. 2D or better finish, material 3/16” and heavier will have No. 1 finish.
